MEDICATION REMINDERS
MedMinder pill dispensers remind the user to take their medications with a series of optional visual and/or auditory alerts. The reminders occur in 30-minute intervals. First the compartment will flash, then the pill dispenser will beep, then the user will receive a phone reminder. If the user still has not taken their medications, then all caregivers will be notified via phone, email and/or text message. If the medications are taken on time, there will be no reminders nor notifications.
Reminder Rosie is a simple, hands-free, inexpensive solution to remember your medication, appointments, and every-day tasks with no monthly fees.
Pillpack is a online pharmacy that manages your prescriptions for you. They prepackage sorted scripts (and over the counter medications and vitamins) into sealed pouches printed with the time and pill information. They help you transfer your medications to them, ship medications to you, and will contact your physicians for refills. They charge a low monthly fee ($20) plus your copays.
MEDICATION REMINDER APPS
You can sign up for online access to your account at your local pharmacy such as Walgreens, CVS, etc. and take advantage of automatic refills, shipping to your home, and prepayment. This is not applicable to controlled substances. You can order and prepay for your prescriptions online and get reminders by email, text, or phone calls to refill them. You can get texts or calls when your prescriptions are ready. You can print reports of all prescriptions filled for a specific time period.
In association with Walgreens, RxmindMe is a reminder app for your medications, vitamins and supplements. It allows you to enter all your dosage information, set up reminders and keep track of when you take them.
The official CVS/pharmacy iPhone App puts CVS/pharmacy and MinuteClinic in the palm of your hand. Just download our app to “visit” your CVS/pharmacy on the go.
w Dosecast
Dosecast is the most flexible and easy-to-use app for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad to help you remember to take your medications on time. Dosecast has been featured in Real Simple magazine and Reader's Digest, and declared best-of-breed by the New York Times. Some apps can only remind you to take your medication at the same time every day. Only Dosecast helps you take doses on a daily/weekly/monthly schedule, every X days/weeks, or even after a pre-set number of hours or days since the last dose. Plus, you can avoid dangerous overdoses by setting a maximum number of doses allowed per day or per 24 hours.

w MediSafe
MediSafe will remind you when to take your medication. You can also update your app manually. Your Med-Friend (family member or caretaker) is notified if you don’t check in, so they can remind you only if needed. It will help you remember to take meds, keep track what pill you took and when, remind you to refill and even give you medication discounts.
Pillboxie is the easy way to remember your meds. Other med reminder apps are either too complicated or just downright boring. Pillboxie is easy because it lets you *visually* manage your meds. Scheduling a reminder is as easy as dropping a pill into a pillbox. Designed and developed by a registered nurse. Reminds you on time, even if your device is asleep. No network connection required! Use Pillboxie on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.
Instant Heart Rate uses your iPhone's camera to detect the pulse from your fingertip - leveraging a similar technique as used in pulse oximeters. Place the tip of your index finger on the iPhone’s camera, and in a couple of seconds your pulse will be shown. Instant Heart Rate will beep with your pulse. A real-time chart will show you every heart beat.
